Due to the diligent work with JTF Windows of Opportunity Scholarships and outreach programs for graduating high school Seniors, Robin Tarr has been recognized by the following organizations:
10 News Leadership Award was presented to Robin J. Tarr at the Mark Twain HS Library in recognition of providing higher education and leadership opportunities to students graduating from high schools offering alternative education curriculum representing 18 high school districts in San Diego County. Segment was aired for public viewing on ABC Channel 10 News affiliates throughout San Diego County in December 2008.
TASK Samoa recognized Robin J. Tarr and Jonathan Tarr Foundation with the 2008 Humanitarian Award for providing scholarships and leadership opportunities for students in the Samoan Community in San Diego County.
Kama’aina Club of Orange County awarded the 2006 Humanitarian Award to Robin J. Tarr for her work in recognizing the Hawaiian heritage students of Southern California.
Pacific Islander Festival Association named Robin J. Tarr, Founder of the Jonathan Tarr Foundation, as Education Leader of the Year 2005. She was recognized for partnering with and guiding PIFA since 1999 to build its own scholarship program benefiting Pacific Islander Students.
KSWB TV Channels 5/69 of San Diego honored Robin J. Tarr, Founder of Jonathan Tarr Foundation, as Asian-Pacific Islander of the Year 2003. The United States and Canada recognize May as Asian Pacific Islander Month. Video-taped Community Service segments were aired throughout the month of May featuring the Jonathan Tarr Foundation story.
The North County Times and Californian Newspapers serving San Diego North County and Southwest Riverside County, recognized Robin Tarr, Founder of the Jonathan Tarr Foundation, as one of ten Women of Merit in 2002 for making a difference in the Communities.
